“Using Aurelio’s® ingredients and recipe, the lumberjacks cooked their own pizzas. Nearly half of the cheese pizza the lumberjacks made in Aurelio’s® kitchen was left as Bertolettio, outnumbered three to one, gobbled down the last piece of his pie.

“The three guys against one, I thought was pretty even competition,” said Joe Aurelio, owner of the pizza chain with 37 franchised locations in six states. “But it turned out Bertolettio just ate it up. He kicked their butt.”

Aurelio said he was honored to host the friendly eating competition, which served as a lead up to the Stihl Timbersports U.S. Pro and Collegiate Championship Series that was held July 15-16 at the Tinley Park Convention Center. Cogar is the reigning three-time U.S. champion, while Lentz and Waterfield finished second and third respectively in last year’s championship.”
