Driver

Summary of Position:

Provide friendly, quick delivery service of each customer’s order.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Report to your shift on time, in a clean and presentable uniform, ready to work, and clock in.
  • Completes opening/closing duties in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Applies knowledge of full menu and other restaurant information such as hours of business, types of payment and other restaurant policies.
  • Applies knowledge of full menu including the pizza numbering system, and other restaurant information such as hours of business, types of payment and other restaurant policies.
  • Answer telephone as needed in a professional manner, and able to answer any customer inquiries with regard to the restaurant, and/or place the caller on hold.
  • Must be knowledgeable of the city/towns in delivery area.
  • Insure that all ordered items are collect per order, as well as that hot food is placed in a heat retention bag, and cold food items remain at a safe temperature.
  • Any and all questions concerning the delivery are answered before leaving the restaurant.
  • Insure that all items are placed in the delivery vehicle to prevent sliding, slippage, or other such damage to the product during transportation.
  • Confirm with customer that all items order have been delivered in an acceptable condition.
  • Knowledge of the standard steps needed, within the restaurant’s policies and procedures to correct any challenges with the order.
  • Receives cash and credit card transactions in accordance with restaurant policies.
  • Provide customer with appropriate receipt for each transaction.
  • Properly perform the required balancing and closing procedures for the POS system as directed by your manager.
  • Responsible for collecting and turning in all coupons and discounts in accordance to the policies and procedures.
  • Provide current copies of up to-date driver’s license and insurance requirements upon renewal of the documents.
  • Maintain proper required insurance, operational vehicle, and acceptable driving record.
  • Able to lead and direct the work of others within the department.
  • Communicates customer, order, and/or employee difficulties to management.
  • Communicates any health and/or safety concerns or violations immediately to management.
  • Conforms to restaurant policies and procedures at all times.
  • Must be capable of going outside the general responsibilities of the department to insure the proper customer service for our customers.
  • Attend all scheduled/mandatory meetings and/or training sessions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be a honest, dependable and a reliable individual with high level of integrity, who possess a clear understanding of team work with a high level of energy and sense of urgency.
  • Must have the highest level of customer service skills, while able to multi-task, while being adaptable to the changing restaurant environment.
  • Prior related work experience.
  • Must possess and maintain valid required State Food Handler’s certification.
  • Valid state driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle report.
  • Proof of adequate insurance requirements.
  • Must have own well maintained vehicle for delivering Aurelio’s menu items.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
  • Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 100 pounds
